They Looked at Me With Shame in Their Eyes

I lifted a drunk up from the gutter and the crowd angrily laughed and hurled insults at me and him. I comforted the elderly an felt the eyes of arrogance frowning at me. I spoke the words of God in public and no one listened. I stood up for the less fortunate and was billified by those around me. I sneezed on the bus today and felt bad for a moment that I may have insulted the person next to me. I gave food to the hungry and someone thought I was being wastefull. I offered a helping hand to an unemployed person and someone said, “Don’t they get enough?”. I prayed in public and felt I may have insulted someone who looked at me wth angry eyes,. I handed a beggar a few dollars and someone passing by looked down on me. I gave my heart to Jesus and he smiled and said to me, ” Well done my good and faithful witness”.

Friends,

I just created a petition titled “Include Long Term Unemployed Into the Federally Mandated Guidelines of Workforce Initiatives”. Because, I care deeply about this very important issue. I’m trying to collect 20,000,00(million) signatures, and I could really use your help. Heck, we may only collect a few hundred thousand if we’re lucky! My philosophy is dream big-get big. To read more about what I’m trying to do and to sign my petition, click here:

It’ll just take a minute! Once you’re done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well. Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread the word!
